Who Is Adventure Fitness Aus?

Adventure Fitness Aus (AFA) is a strength and conditioning gym that trains people for adventures outdoors. We also train youth climbers, endurance racers, hikers, mountaineers and climbers, both physically and mindfully.

AFA in collaboration with On Track Expeditions organises adventures to Nepal, Kilimanjaro, Kokoda, NZ and the Alps.

Training

AFA is a Brisbane based training facility that gets you fit ready for any out door adventures. If you are hiking in Nepal, Snow boarding in NZ, Climbing Kilimanjaro, Hiking the Inca Trail then you need to be training. AFA has trained people for these adventures for 4 years. We know how to get you specifically fit to not only enjoy your adventure but to be mentally ready for the Mountain ahead.

Tori Hadley

Owner and Head Coach of Adventure Fitness Aus.

My background is in endurance sports. I trained and raced triathlon and ironman for 8 years.

I had an absolute love for training hard and competing in a sport that really took the body to another level. The body and mind can do way more than you think and you only find that out by getting way out of your comfort zone and testing the edges!

I have used this background to tackle mountains in Nepal, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia and the South of France.

A journey as epic as this starts with one step and i may have travelled solo but i am lucky to have had a fantastic support crew along the way. Tori Hadley from AFA, what a fantastic chick and awesome trainer. I started my training 12 weeks prior to my departure and what a difference it made to my trip. Tori has made sure i was both physically and mentally prepared for the challenge that was to come. Check her out if you want to get strong to climb mountains or just get into shape!

Nick did his first Ironman from zero triathlon experience to full ironman in a year. It was a pleasure to train him for his endurance event and he did it mostly on his own as he works such crazy hours.
This is what he had to say;<br/>

On Sunday i did something i once thought was impossible. I completed my first Ironman. These things you cannot do on your own. 12 months ago there was no way i was mentally or physically prepared to do an ironman. Tori was brutally honest with me about way it would take and the sacrifices I’d have to make and she took me on. I couldn't have done it without her coaching and support!

I started training with Tori about 7 months ago as I plateaued in my climbing and needed help to get to the next grade. I’m that time I’ve become a stronger climber and pushed my grades both physically and mentally. What I didn’t expect is the amazing community that came along with it. It’s inspiring to train with people from all backgrounds and watch them work towards their epic adventures. Training with Tori and the team is a combination of hard work and plenty of laughs and we don’t look back... well only to enjoy the view!
